Autism Swim is committed to recognising and respecting the financial contributions people make to our organisation. We aim to ensure transparency and fairness in the management of refunds.
Refunds for Donations
Refunds of donations will not automatically be made simply because you have changed your mind. We ask that you carefully consider the amount you wish to donate.
Autism Swim will consider all requests for refunds to ensure that genuine errors are rectified as soon as possible. However, we are not obliged to provide refunds and any decision to do so will be at Autism Swim’s discretion.
A refund may be granted where:
- a duplicate donation has been made due to a processing error; or
- an error has been made by Autism Swim or our financial institution.
We will consider refund requests made in writing within 30 days of the date the donation was made.
Refund requests should include:
- date of donation;
- donation amount;
- donor name;
- tax invoice or order number; and
- details of the error.
If a donation is refunded, the original tax receipt will no longer be valid. Where a donation amount is adjusted, a new receipt will be issued.
Refunds will be returned using the original method of payment.
Requests for refunds can be sent to: admin@autismswim.com.au
Refunds for Merchandise
Unless deemed faulty or required under the Australian Consumer Law, Autism Swim does not offer refunds on merchandise purchased.
Exchange of sizes may be permitted where:
- the item is returned in original condition; and
- return postage costs are covered by the customer.
Print on Demand Merchandise
Autism Swim merchandise is fulfilled via a third-party provider (Print Locker).
All returns and refunds for these items are subject to Print Locker’s Returns Policy. Any return or refund request must be directed to Print Locker in accordance with their policy.
Refunds for Training and Certification Programs
Refunds are not provided for online training or certification programs except where:
- a genuine processing error has occurred
- an error is made by Autism Swim or our financial institution; or
- exceptional circumstances are approved at Autism Swim’s discretion.
Where a refund is approved in circumstances not required by law, it may be issued less any applicable transaction or processing fees.
Provider Memberships and Subscriptions
Fees paid for Provider memberships, listings, or subscriptions are non-refundable, except where required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law).
Where a membership or subscription is cancelled:
- access will continue until the end of the current billing period; and
- no partial refunds will be issued for unused time.
It is your responsibility to manage your subscription, including cancellation prior to renewal where applicable, and to notify us of any changes to your business details or if your membership is no longer required.
General
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
